Why Byte Workhub exists
The practice began with a recurring scene at Berlin advice tables: a skilled person arrived with a diploma, translations and several browser printouts, yet nobody had helped them identify the exact German reference occupation. Money had been spent before the route was clear.
Byte Workhub provides calm, bounded consultations between two complex systems—professional recognition and recruitment. We pay attention to the competent authority, federal state, regulated status, curriculum evidence and the words an employer needs to understand.
The people
Mara Hoffmann, lead recognition adviser, has worked in adult career guidance and international credential orientation in Berlin since 2016. Her practice focuses on document mapping and referrals to competent authorities; she does not replace their assessment.
Samuel Okafor, employment consultant, works with internationally trained professionals on German CVs, vacancy interpretation and interviews. His contribution begins where a qualification must become an accurate, comprehensible employment story.
How we work
We separate confirmed facts from assumptions, give public authorities the final word on formal equivalence, and refer legal, immigration, translation and profession-specific licensing questions when they fall outside our scope. Clients keep control of their original documents. Advice is available in English, online across Germany and in person in Berlin.
Our values are precision without false certainty, respectful attention to training completed elsewhere, and fees agreed before work begins.
